moose hat

No, this is not a daddy-designated outfit.  Somebody just didn't want to take off his moose hat.

Some recent cuteness

Does cute always need a reason?  I don't think so.

Sometimes it's lunch oriented.
Or striking a "GQ" pose
Or playing with toys.
Or scanning the skies for "et-may" (airplanes)

maybe spring coming soon

Things are happening that are kind of like spring.  Buds greening on the (to be) flowering quince.  Bulbs up a couple inches already.  And one crocus, about to bloom.  See it?

And then the weirdness of this winter:  there was a container, pretty much buried since December, and after the melt revealed a pansy, now flowering.  Other containers of annuals also show suspicious signs of green life.  We'll see what happens.

And a fig tree in the laundry room, with bulbs now a foot high.  Can't remember what they are.  Although it makes a bit of sense -- I remember an early winter run with Seb around the cemetery, stopping in Shannon Florist, and in desperation, buying them out of the few bulbs they had left.  Tulips of some sort or another.  I tried to move one yesterday and just ended up snapping off greens, so in the fig they stay.  We'll see if there is enough sun for them to bloom.

Upstairs, other plants line up in the corner, waiting for new pots, or waiting for new homes in the ground.  Any way you slice it, waiting for spring.  Which finally doesn't feel too far off.

as the glaciers recede

The snow melts, and it may not be actually warm, but it's not so actively cold.  Which means ...

Time for bike commute!
