The tomatoes are ripe

How did I totally skip July?

Maine pictures coming. Meanwhile, we got home and the tomatoes were ripe. And apparently irresistable to a certain somebody.

Who tested them out to make sure they'd be delicious.

And then decided to do what toddlers do with red, round objects that fit into chubby hands. 

Not to ruin the ending, but Steve's comment:  "did you see that jump shot, baby?" ...

I mentioned ringworm. I have no idea if that's how one gets ringworm, but it seemed as good as anything that I might be able to cite as, say, the voice of reason in this situation.

First hot day of summer

We got the kiddie pool set up.  Nate came over, but not just the kids loved being able to dunk our feet.

Eventually, the boys found an even more fun game...

backhoe

They're doing some construction up on 5th avenue, so yesterday afternoon we went to go see the backhoe.

 Leaning over to kiss the backhoe... Smooch.

Charlotte was kind of scared of the backhoe.  Not sure why Seb is kissing it.
